Hi All,

POsted this multiple times on another forum and thought I was trying to help.

Got in the **** for it so I'll post this once and hope it saves someone some money and anguish.

I hope to save someone from a very costly mistake.

This is definately a fraud listing.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...e=ADME:BS:UK:28

If you buy it you will loose your money!!!

fereira401 is a con artist...I can't stress this enough.

Perhaps the Moderators could post this on the main site as the auction only has 20hrs to go. Just this morning the bidding was at GBP9000.00 and 16 bids. Now it is back to GBP740.00 and no bids????????

I have multiple emails from this seller as he offered to sell me the Whipple blower for GBP800.00 outside of the auction. I was set to buy it but I thought I would check him out first by sending a copy of the "secure Ebay Transaction" to Ebay's security for verification.

They responded immediately and informed me that it was indeed a fraud/spoof!!!

I am not a member of many truck sites so please pass this along to any sites/forums you are members of.

Thankyou

Sincerely

Howard Quick

Hi,

I hope this doesn't seem too long.

Approx 2 days ago this scumbag agreed to sell the blower to me for GBP800.00.

He asked that the transaction be performed via Ebay secure transaction so we would both be protected.

I agreed.

An email arrived which was an ebay secure transaction/invoice agreement.

Also, a verification arrived from 'Square Trader'.

Just to be careful I forwarded them to both Ebay security and Square Trader security for verification. I also entered the users details into the Square Trader verification system and guess what....no such member!

Ebay also replied telling me I had received a fraud/spoof email from this person.

He asked me to use a 'Moneygram' transfer so we would be insured. Ebay says to NEVER use a Moneygram transfer because if you do you are definately NOT covered.

The value of the item went from GBP740.00 and 0 bids to GBP10,000 and 16 bids in a day! The supercharger only costs USD$4000.00 new. Whay would anybody bid around $USD17000.00 for a secondhand one???

This guy was somehow manipulating the bidding system.

Notice how the bidders identities were kept silent. Why? So no one could verify who was bidding and if they were real.

The guy also said there was USD$5000.00 sitting in a Square Trader trust account as insurance. Square Trader says on their website that they don't do this and that this is a common lie of a fraud.

I was just lucky I held off and checked this out. It would have cost me alot of money.

One more, after he had already agreed to sell it to me...the auction continued???

The guy is a rat bastard!

Gotcha.

That is just another reason not to buy things outside of ebay like that, especially high dollar items. Also, never buy a uses SC unless you know it's history very well :chevrolet:
