Lost fan speed

Hi All,

 

I lost speed 1 on my fan. If I remember right, the resistor on the fan motor is going. This happened to my malibu several times.

 

Any other thoughts?

I believe it is actually a resistor pack that is on the firewall. Should be a reasonably cheap DIY repair.

The Blower motor resistor is on the fan motor itself, passenger side, righ above the foot well. Where the wires connect, thats the resistor. About 12 bucks.

I have lost speeds 1&2 on my 05 Sierra. I assume it is still the resistor. Can I pick one up at any local parts store?
