TOWING CAPACITY?

Could someone give me the trailering capacity for a '04' dually, reg cab, duramax, allison, dump body, 3500? A buddy of mine has a chance to get one at a good price and is looking to find the towing capacity. Thanks for your help.

You have to calculate your trailer capacity yourself. The Gross combination weight rating is 22,000lbs. That is the most that can be going down the road. It includes the truck/passangers/cargo and trailer. If you have a load of stone in the dump body you will not be able to tow as much as if empty.

I think the GVW for that truck is about 11500. So if loaded to its max including say 500lbs of tongue weight you could pull an 11000lb load.
