My truck all of the sudden just started having a problem with the left turn signal.

When I turn it on, the dash lights blink and all of the other marker lights blink too (every corner).

When I hit the brakes the dash lights come on as well as the marker lights. Only when i use the L turn sig. The right turn sig works fine.

Any suggestions?

My Vette does this too..not sure exactly but occasionally I turn on the left blinker and the whole dash flashes with it.Not all the timt and not right off the bat... :shakehead: But it definetly happens.

Seen bulbs cause this. In a dual filament bulb, if the stop/turn filament breaks and lays against the park light filament, when you put on the flashers or step on the brakes, power will be backfed through the parking light circuit.

Seen broken filaments cause this as mentioned, and bulbs that were defective and making contact where the wires enter the glass part of the bulb. Basically, look to the bulbs on the left side before going too crazy with anything else.

Thanks for the reply!! I too thought it could have been a bulb problem, so I unplugged the LR taillight, still same.. Took out each individual bulb in the front, stll same. Also unplugged the trailer light harness and eliminated that out of the system, that didn't wrk either.

I'm beginning to wonder if the emergency flasher switch may be causing this??

I had an old Impala with the same kind of problem - it turned out there were two burned wires inside the wiring firewall connector.
