What is TM? I've read on this forum about having performance tunes to modify TM but don't understand what is happening when you have this done. Also with these proformance tunes can you change the up shift points to a lower RPM?

Torque Management is a system to reduce engine power output under certain conditions (ie transmission shifting, etc) to prolong the life of the powertrain.

 

Yes, they could lower your shift points (within reason) if thats what you want.
