Fuel System Problems

Truck will not start. Engine turns, no fire. Have check pressure on fuel system, it is ZERO. Noisy fuel pump, no longer making noise.

I have replace fuel relay, fuel filter, fuel pump. New Stuff, No Joy. No sound out of new fuel pump when key switched on. No reading on fuel gauge, and I have put 10 gallons in. No pressure in system. I am guessing that I did not not get the eletrical connections hooked back up correctly, but I do not know how I could have messed that up. Any suggestions on next steps?

If I do have to take the pump out, any ideas on an easy way to get the metal fuel line connectors off the pump? I have a "tool" to do this, but I am not sure it is correct. There does not seem to be enough slack in the fuel lines or enough space around the connectors and fittings to get the apart.

Thanks for any help.

Step one, make sure you're getting power (and ground) to the pump when you turn the key on. Understand that there will only be power there for 2 seconds if the engine is not running or turning over.

I don't know what to say about the tool you have. Sometimes there's not a lot of room to work, but the lines come off fairly easy with the right tool.

Is it safe to assume you replaced the entire fuel module?

You assumed correctly, I replaced the module.

The tool I have is really just a bunch of plastic rings that fit different sizes of lines. Is there perhaps a better tool, because I am not to thrilled with the prospect of trying to get those lines off.

I can lower the tank and try testing the electrical.
