I think I have seen that before and the light stays on as normal.

im afraid with this cold weather that small led will be the factor of weather my truck is going to start or not in the winter.

and my battery is actually new, just in cold weather it will make the starter grunt to trun the truck over.

If it bothers you, you could figure out which wire is the power, and hooked it up to AUX PWR 2 in your fuse box, which only supplies power when the key is on/engine is running.

Are you sure it doesn't turn off after a while? My prodigy turns off after 10 min of non use.

Anyway I would not be concerned with the draw of a single LED.

I agree,

mine also turns off after about 10 min. I think the radio 'memory' draw would be more
