Av Lift and Tires

OK, Looking to lift and add bigger tires to my 2500 Av.  Mainly for on beach clearance, since last time I drove on the beach I took half of the beach home with me.  Anyway, whats the biggest tires/wheels I can fit under a 2500 Av with a 4" lift, how about 6" lift? Also what are some good road/beach (soft sand) tires?  :ehh:

Here is a long shot if you are going to lift it 4" - Mickey Thompson 16x8 forged wheels and Interco TrXus 285/75/16 tires - quiet on the road - great tread pattern for mud/sand.

My $.02 - I would have them, but haven't lifted, nor likely to at this time. I do have the wheels - they are tough, sweet and very attractive.

Check out the 2001 SEMA Avalanches, most of them had 6 inch lifts with whimpy 33's.  I barely fit 305's on my truck with a 3inch body lift and that's about the most I would go because with any higher lift you still have to stick with stupid 33's.  I guess the fenders although really tall are really narrow on the Av. If you want some good clearence you'll have to go with a 3inch body and a 6 inch suspension.  There is a 1500Av here in Salt Lake with those mods that is just a beast, I think he has 38's on it.  My body lift helped out a ton and really helpes out with the front overhang.

check it out:
