Outdoor Temp Sensor

For my 2005 Chevy Colorado Crew Cab pickup - Can anyone advise where the "factory" outdoor temperature sensor wiring connection is made? I am replacing my rearview mirror with an after-market unit that includes compass & temperature readouts. Found out that the existing 7-pin factory cable connector fits & powers the new mirror just fine - saved a lot of cable routing hassle! Figure there must also be a standard connection point (under hood?) for my new temperature sensor that I can use to avoid routing wires (2) all the way to the mirror. Any help is appreciated.

  Of course that would be false. You could have had one welded into your stock pan if you could find someone who did TIG welding.

  I was recently given a cheap winch for my trailer and I’m going to build a front receiver hitch so that I can use it on my truck also. It is a 13,500lb Sinoking winch with synthetic rope and wireless remote. It is mounted on a Badland hitch mount. The lower plastic was removed from my truck several years ago when I built a custom tube framed skid plate for it. The hitch will be tucked up close to the bumper and hopefully I can add a 2” square tube to the back of the skid plate to fit it into the hitch to hide the hitch when it’s not being used.   Hi All, I am curious whether using the dashboard display for transmission fluid temperature is considered acceptable when setting the transmission fluid level after a pan drop, filter replacement, and fill. I have a 2021 gas/6L90. Thanks

  Every place on the hi-way is up , lowest is the truck stop, $3.93/ 87, the others haven't broken the $4 barrier yet but getting damned close. Lowest diesel $5.73. I haven't checked local yet but I bet they are over the $4 mark. I've been shopping for a type C motorhome and trying not to buy a Ford, found a couple diesels but the price of fuel is scary
