Difference in all the lifts?

Recommended Posts

I've been wanting to lift my truck.  I know they have body lifts, suspension lifts and a few others .  What's the difference and which is the best?   ???

A body lift only raises the body of the truck off the frame.  It will allow bigger tires, to a point.  A body lift will not affect the ride quality of your truck.

A suspension lift raises the frame off the suspesion, or lowers the suspesion away from the frame, however you want to look at it.     Lots of people say suspension lifts have improved the ride of their truck greatly.

As far as ground clearance, larger tires are the only thing that help there.  The various lifts will allow you to run larger tires.

One of the key differences between a body lift and suspension lift is price.  A body lift will run you about 225, while a suspension lift is around 1500.  It really comes down to two things:

How much height you want and How much money you have.

A body lift will get you 3" of height, while you can get suspension lifts that range from 4" to 10"
