cd quits

Anytime I listen to a cd with the volume turned up pretty good the cd quits after about 5-10 minutes and seems to be fairly hot. Could it be the little fan on back of the radio quit working and can it be replaced or is it Pioneer time ?

I've never heard of the CD just quiting. Hard to say if this is due to too much heat. I have listened to the entire Tool "Laterus" CD start to finish twice, back to back with my volume turned up as load as it would go. The CD player never shut off. I have the Bose system, I don't know if that makes a difference. If your unit is still under warrenty I would get it looked at.

Just as an aside . . . my CD gets hot no matter what, loud, low, doesn't matter. This has been discussed in this forum before. It is normal.

Good luck,

Mine is doing this also. Sometimes it will not even make it through the 1st song.

Same here and maybe it's just me but it seems like the louder I'd listen to it the quicker it would shut down. Replaced with a Pioneer last month.
