leak in headliner after cold weather wash

Well, i thought this may have only been a problem with my previous truck, a 2003 Chev K1500 extended cab

after getting off the highway (1600km drive) I'll wash the truck. it's happened at -10C but mostly at -20C. After washing the truck (taking great care to make sure doors were closed all the way and windows were up all the way) I notice water pooling in the rear Cab light in the truck. And then water starts leaking out of console lights.

This happened 7 times all in the winter, never summer.

Two days ago, I took a 1200km trip at -18c to -10c. Washed truck and had same problem. Only this time, it involves a 2006 GMC Sierra K1500 CC. Crappy thing is, it gave fits to my overhead DVD player.

Any ideas?

Its most likely the rubber seal getting frozen hard and letting water right in. I don't know of any solution to the problem but I'm sure somebody will chime in with one.

I had water come in my old truck before. The source ended up being the roof mounted cab lights (I'm not sure if you would have this option).

The dealer replaced the gaskets on the base of the lights and the problem was cured...

unfortunatly neither truck has had roof mounter cab lights

if i knew where the water was coming from, i'd loving ly massage the seal, I just dont have a clue
