cleaning maf

Ok i read up on cleaning the maf and was just wondering which way i should spray it, from the back throught the screen, or should i spay it through the screen then past the contacts. thanks. Also i got a p0101 code, do u think that could be from oil residue on the maf sensors.

P0101 could be the cause. I cleand mine in the direction of air flow. Just spay an electrical contact cleaner on it let it dry and you should be good to go. Try that first then go from there.
