I want to install a 2001 silverado 6.0 into my 2000 silverado 2500 6.0.

the hollander book says it's different. Does anyone know the difference and

how I can get it to fit?

2000 6.0 had iron heads versus an 01+ 6.0 had aluminum heads. Older 6.0's had a longer crankshaft for use with a 4L80E. The 01+ 6.0 had a shorter crank and utilized a crank spacer when used with a 4L80E. If looking at the back of an 01+ 6.0, the crank will be FLUSH with the seal.
