Another rear bumper

On my last truck (2001 2500HD) my rear bumper lasted 3 yrs and 18k miles before it started to rust and need replaced.

 

Well, it's happened again to my new ride. The difference is... this truck isn't even a year old and only has 5k miles on it.

 

I guess I'll need to take a trip to the dealer...

I have the same probelm with my front bumper on my Sierra only difference is that it took over 100,000 miles for it to happen. However, if you do get a new one coat the back side of the bumper with something. If I end up keeping my current truck and not getting that Duramax, I'll be getting a new bumper. Then I will probably get some herculiner or SOMETHING for the back side of it! That's where the rust is comming from on my truck anyways. Not sure if you have a different problem!??!?
