On Summit's website, they have a dual exhaust listed for the 4.3L and I'm very interested because it's pretty cheap.

 

I was wondering if it would be a decent choice. It is dual exhaust but it goes from the two cats, into a single muffler, out to two tailpipes. What do you think? It's tough finding an aftermarket for this engine and that's a great price for dual exhaust. Unfortunately, it's only 2.25" pipe and I think 2.5" would be ideal. Plus, I'm sure it's not the greatest muffler.

 

Anyone know of a cat-back that can be purchased for a good price? Or should I go with this? Or even look into custom exhaust? Custom is pricey though.

I am in the same boat as you. I would like to put a performance exhaust on my 4.3 L, but it is hard to find a good kit.

Actually, on another forum I've been on for over 3 years, I was told that the 4.3L is almost exactly like the 5.7L 350 minus 2 cylinders and that a lot of mods for the 350 will fit the 4.3L, including exhaust (other than headers). I didn't know this and a few other people also confirmed it. Hmm... ;)
