Onstar

I have a Chevy 2500HD 4x4 Duramax. Where is the onstar computer located?

Under the right side of the dash. I don't recall if the connectors point up or down on the '05, but if you look up under there (open the glove box) you might be able to reach up and pull the connector. That'd kill it for sure.

 

There's also an INFO fuse in the underhood fuse box, though I'm not 100% certain that would just disable onstar.

I knew that, but I'm pretty sure there's something else powered by that fuse that one may not want disabled. I'd have to look it up to be sure what it is.
