pcv valve replacement

Do the new style pcv valves ever need to be replaced? If they do, after how many miles? Looking at them, I can't see how they could ever wear out. No moving parts, just a small metal can with a hole at either end.

They may need to be cleaned after a long time but I will never have to replace them as they won't ever wear out.

You didnt say whaty year your truck is but the 04 up 4.8-5.3 with electronic throttle have no PCV. If you have on with the fixed orfice there is no maintance since there are no moving parts.

My truck is a 2001. That is what I was thinking, remove and clean and reuse. Thanks!
