Need a firewall hole

need to pass a medium sized wire thru the firewall of '01 2500HD to run the PIAA light switch. I've looked all thru the pass. compartment and engine well for a way to pass the wires thru. No luck. Any suggestions for a driver side hole, grommet or???

 

On my Jeep. we'd just drill a hole, but let's ask here first...

I drilled the one in my '02 up and to the left of the brake pedal...Comes out under the master cylinder. This was for a 4ga wire for the stereo.

Works the same for the '05 CCSB. If you don't want to do that, you can also run the wire through the lower 'A' pillar passthrough to the lower left kick panel.

Scroll all the way to the bottom of the page to "Fig. 48" and that is where i drilled my hole. Its a very accesible area, and there is already a cutout inside for it.

 

This is on the drivers side, just to the right of where the fuel lines hook to the fuel rail. Just below the hood ground strap.
