Thermostat only works on level 5

Hey with my 2000 Chevy Silverado, the only level I can turn the air setting on is full blast. If I set it between 1-4 nothing happens. The only setting that works is level 5.

 

Also, my wheel nut-bolt cover was either stolen or fell off. How do I go about finding a replacement?

Almost certainly blower resistor in air duct near blower right side under dash. About 15.00 part and not terrible to replace.

That happened with the malibu at work. I think it was the resistor, could of been the switch.
