park postion of wipers

On my 98 jimmy when you turn of the wipers they don't park at the bottom of the windshield. they go to the bottom of the stroke come back up about 3 in. and then stop. How do you get the wipers to park a the bottom of the windshield so they don't block your view?

You take off the cowl cover and adjust the linkage.

Well, as long as you're mechanically inclined, it shouldn't be too bad. You'll have some trial and error at the beginning but you should be able to figure it out. First run the wipers and try to figure out how it all works, then adjust it a little and see what difference it makes, then you should be able to see what helps and what doesn't, then adjust again, and again...until it's right.

Not sure if this will help your problem. I noticed my wipers popped back up about 4" on mine today so im gonna try it sometime in the next few days, i have to get a new solidering iron.
