<3 the Avelance, but...

I think the Chevy Avelanche is the ultimate city truck. It's rugged enough to do real work, even not in a city. You get the built in box cover which is a must in urban areas. It looks good, rides high...all that.

What I find disturbing is that I never see any new 'lanches on the lot with the body armor. That also makes it the perfect city truck. No door dings...ever. I think it looks good too, that's totally subjective I know, but I really dig the body armor. What I don't like is the look of no body armor, but then you have the plastic detail behind the cab and on top of the box. The body armor balances out that grey plastic and complements it. With no body armor, it looks kinda out of place.

The solution, IMO is only a custom thing that people do. I occasionally see pimped out 'lanches with the plastic behind the cab and on the box painted to match the body. Now with no body armor, this is REALLY sharp. The Caddy Esclade EXT has it painted to match from factory. Perhaps GM should option it out so that you either get plastic body armor + plastic effects behind the cab, or no body armor, and the stuff behind the hood is painted.

Oh yeah, and we need a GMC version.
