equinox reliability

i did a search didnt see anything recent, i know they are still kinda new but in the next 6 months we may be replacing our 99 voyager and we are looking for info on the nox. we like the roominess, price and the ride. i am concerned about the reliability. GM seems to be hit or miss on problems with some of their brands. we looked at the vue also, but i cant use my gm card rebate on them. otherwise i see pontiac and buick have something similar. any info appreciated.

been very happy with our 05. about 10K miles now.

in-town, cold start, stop-n-go driving, we get about 18 mpg.

We've had ours for a year now and the only problem has been one of the buttons on the radio, the paint started to chip off. She drives about 40 miles a day for work with about a 50/50 split of city and highway and gets anywhere from 18.5 up to 22mpg. The only thing that I don't care for is when it needs tires there are few options due to the odd size, other than my little complaint it's a great vehicle.

My wife and I both like the Equinox. Seems like a nice vehicle for the price. I was wondering how well the AWD works on them though.

We love our 05 AWD, hard to say how well the AWD works, as it is really just for road use, so you don't get to experience the value like you do with 4wd off road. As for the fuel economy, we seem to be stuck at 19, 8 months old 6000 miles, and I would think it should be better based on the gear ratio of 2.9 and the 5 speed auot, but who knows.
