mirror covers

I think most aftermarket mirror covers come with a two sided tape and don't require the removal of the current black plastic cover on the Chevy Mirror.

As for the removal of the current covers, I'm not sure, they may just snap in?

Sorry I can't be more help.

Hi, I have a 2004 and I bought used mirrors with the chrome covers just to get them. I changed them myself. There is 3 or 4 ( I don't remember for sure) lock tabs and double sided tape. I pryed the old ones off with a screw driver and putty knife while pushing the lock tabs with a screw driver. To get to the tabs I just tilted the mirror glass in diffrent directions until I got all tabs loose. I had my wife help with the prying. This is very simple and it only took about 1/2 hr. to do.

I hope this helps.
