Skip Talker Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 I have a 2004 Z71. I lost the jack ( the receptacle with the lid?) where you plug in the trailer lights. It looks like it was only tacked to the trailer hitch frame. I now just have a cable with a plug on it dangling loose. Can I just order one of those, on line? and get some one to weld it back on? Is there an aftermarket solution? Thanks
Ranger Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 You could try duct taping it. By the jack, do you mean the rubber/plastic cover or the actual 7-way connector? If you lost the connector, you might want to replace the wiring harness.
Worktruck Posted March 31, 2006 Posted March 31, 2006 I think he means the metal plate that the 7 pin receptacle fits into. i have 1 new in the package. Let me see if I can find it. Pay me to mail it to ya and it's yours.

The cable and plug I have left dangling looks like it goes into the receptacle and then goes into a plate with a lid. I'll have to find another truck and look at it closely. The cable/plug I have left dangling will not fit into a trailer light harness.
