Will be doing a rebuild on my tired 93 Suburbans motor. During rebuild before ordering pistons need to know the cc of the heads to get a correct compression ratio. I was under the impression that my heads were typical 76cc chambered cast iron heads. Recently a member on here gave me the impression that the heads on my 93 were Vortech heads, but I dont think Vortech s were even available back in 93. Anyone know the specs of my heads?

well thanks Mr. Smith for the reply on both of my posts. I didnt think they were Vortechs. No worry, Ill just throw in some SS, valves, new springs, and Ill clean up the castings of intake runners, exhaust runners, and smooth out the area under the valves for a little better flow. Another question for you though...Need to know the cc's of my heads when oredering new pistons. My guess is the factory compression is real low at approx 8.25:1 so Im gonn shoot for 9:1 and need to know head cc volume to pick out pistons. Any Idea. Im guessing 76cc

I dont know the volume but Manley has decent SS valves at a good price. I used them in my truck when I redid the heads.
