Friend of mine got a GREAT deal,

He is picking up a 1997 GMC Suburban 1500 4x4 for $11,500. Here is the kicker, it only has 23,000 miles on it!! It was owned by an 82 year old man who fell and broke his hip. Needless to say, he is not driving it anymore. It has the SLE package, is white with burgandy cloth interior and all the options. It does have black flares and step boards and is in MINT condition. Not a ding, scratch or anything.

I am taking him to pick it up tomorrow. It is really a sweet ride. I just thought that was one hell of a deal for a rig with just over 20k on the clock! It was driven just often enough to keep things in good shape, hoses, belts, tires and it does not leak anywhere. I was concerned when I first heard about it, but it is really in great shape.

This guy also has a 95 1500 W/T with only 40k miles on it!! The truck was his "daily driver" and the Suburban was for trips and "dressing up" as he put it! If the weather ever straightens up, I will try to get pictures.

Sounds great. You gotta feel bad for someone like the old timer though. You keep your rides all done up and then something develops and you have to get rid of them, though it is good to know that someone else will get the enjoyment out of them that he did.

I drove this rig a coupe days ago. Simple put, it is in showroom condition, inside and out. No dings, dongs, scratches, stains, anything. One would think this thing came from a museum. It rides, drives and handles like a brand new one.

Got started in the field yesterday, so pictures may come later than I expected.
