New to here.... RPO code confusion

Recommended Posts

Hi all. I just bought a 2001 Jimmy SLE. Low miles and very good shape with a nice list of options. I thought it was odd (given the options) that the dealer didn't mention it had keyless entry, or give me a fob for it. I looked through the RPO codes and it shows "AU0"

That is the correct code, isn't it? Doesn't that mean it's on the truck? Is there any other way of knowing before I go out and get a entry fob and try it?

There are also two other codes that are confusing me.

M30 Manual Transmission 5 speed with Over drive, NVG

UN0 Compact disc AM/FM stereo

My Jimmy is a 4sp. auto and has a cassette player.

Several of my codes I could not decipher. I can pick out code descriptions that match my vehicles options... but the codes are one number, or letter off.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

I've got a copy of the GM master RPO code list, its about 188 pages in PDF format. PM me with your email and I'll send it to ya. It had all of my codes and some of them were more descriptive than what I found on other web sites.

AU0 is for keyless entry. The dealer either didn't have or didn't give you the fobs.

M30 is for the 4L60-E,4-spd automatic transmission and...

UN0 is for the AM/FM CD Player with seek/scan and auto tone controls.Someone must have taken out the CD radio and changed it to the cassette radio.
