ON my 2000 Silverado the AC works fine on Max Air as long as I leave my window open. Compressor stays engaged, but when I turn down the fan and close windows it will continue for a short time. It then starts blowing warm air and checking the compressor is not engaged. I changed the low pressure/cycling switch and recharged system. Still same problem. Any ideas.

Check your PM.

Your high-side is what's affected by supplying more heat to the evaporator (the heat exchanger in your dash). You should check both high-side and low-side pressures while the conditions you mentioned are reproduced. Maybe you're low on refrigerant.
