Removing an engine. Help.

Hi,

Quick question. How would one remove a 350 4 bolt in an older truck? I know, disconnect the manifold and carb and coolant lines, etc. Take out the 4 bolts. BUT, where it connects to the trans, how does that work? Does it just pull straight from the trans with the cherry picker, or does one have to fool with the transmission too? Sorry for my ignorance, but I found a 500 horse engine and I want to take mine out and sell it. It was from a sprint car and probably pulls 300 or more horse and was JUST rebuilt, but 500 is just sick and I can't resist.

Thanks guys!!

You'll have to unbolt the bell housing of the transmission from the engine block and all the linkages as well as the flywheel from the torque converter.
