Rusty stainless exhaust tips.

How do I clean them up? They are pitted and the rust is mainly "drippings" from the trailer hitch above, after the winter full of salt. BTW, I have dual tips that exit straight out the back.

They are starting to "yellow" a bit and just plain look bad. Anything I can do to clean them up without making a mess?

Thanks!

get some navel jelly (sold at most hardware stores) and rub on a couple good coats... that should take the rust off. then get a good chrome cleaner / polisher and shine em up!

the fastest and easiest way to remove it is to use a chrome wheel cleaner with hydrochloric acid or sulfuric acid excuse my spelling if it's off, it's usually the most expensive chrome wheel cleaner on the shelf 6-8 bucks but it works like a charm. spray it on wait 30 sec. or so and hose er off
