2006 2500HD Trailer Pkg wiring

I am wiring up my tent trailer tonight and got all the wires connected just fine. My problem is the Batt + terminal on the truck connector is not hot at any time. Any ideas to where this leads so I can hook it up? Thanks in advance for your help!

If you got the factory towing pkg and it's the same as it was a couple of years ago, there should be a fuse taped to the trailer brake controller wiring harness that should have been in the glove box. There should also be an instruction tag of where to insert it in the main fuse box under the hood.

If it's missing, maybe try to get it from the dealer? I can't remember if the owner's manual has information.

You can also search for "stud" or "brake controller" on this site (although beware that there was sometimes some confusion as to what this fuse does).
