installing after market stereo-yukon 2004

Hi all, I have a 2004 yukon SLT and want to replace my factory radio with an after market one, most likely the Pioneer DEH-P6800MP, my Yukon is equipped with On Star

And XM radio and I would like to know if somebody here has done this before and be so kind to answer Some questions I have.

 

1 Do I lose the onstar/MX feature (the after market radio says XM ready)

 

2. I read somewhere that removing the factory radio will cause the CHECK ENGINE light to come on, is this true?

 

3. since most of the chimes use the factory radio, wich ones do I lose?

 

4. will I be able to use the steering wheel controls to operate the aftermarket radio?

 

5. and last is there any modules to keep most of the original features on the aftermarket radio.

 

Thanks in advance,sorry about too many ???s. I just want to make sure I don’t mess everything up, in case I want to sell the SUV later.
