Yukon Window Regulator

Hello, I am seeking help in replacing the passenger rear window regulator on my 2000  :sigh:  Yukon SLE with power windows.  Also, is there anything I can do to lube or maintain my other power windows to keep them from failing?  I sprayed some Marvels lube into the plastic (I think) gear of the drivers rear door as it sounded "strained".  Seemed to help.  I noticed the "bad" gear had some grease in it but not sure what type.  I maintain my rigs great, actually kinda anal with help I read on this site and general research and this rig is really nice (first Yukon) and I love it and it has 97,000 well pampered miles on her.

The old regulator had the cables twist up and jam up causing the gear to be torn up and failing.  The motor is fine, got a little hot but will keep as a back up.

Also, I tried to remove the front door panels but had trouble and didn't want to "reef on it just a little more" to get them off, I found one screw on the bottom and it would not budge.  The rear doors have clips that snap into the door and figure the fronts do as well.

Thanks very much in advance.  I never did a window regulator and mine kinda fell apart and not sure how it goes back(cables fell out of where they went, I'm pretty good DIY).  Any help or tips or online reference would be greatly appreciated.  My wife looks awesome in the Yukon and want to keep it a nice rig.......Now to save my pennies to replace the grile.....Pheasants tend to go through a couple of slats and break it up a little, lucky it looks good still  :driving: I'm only missing a couple of slats and it hit the radiator support, so no damage to it luckily.  Worst part was the kids almost got the what for cause they were playing baseball in the front lawn and I thought the worst immediatly, then the wifey mentioned a large bird she thought she hit with the bumper, feathers confirmed  :D

Again Thanks for ANY help.

I had to replace the drivers window regulator on my 2001. I went to put it down one morning and it sounded like there was a yard of gravel in the door. Luckily I got the window back up, but it would creep down about 2 inches as I drove. I looked into getting a replacement part, my cable twisted upon itself also, but I couldn't get the window glass down far enough to take it off the track. I ended up taking it to my mechanic here and he fixed it no problem for $300. Plus I have large hands, and cut them up pretty bad when I removed my door handles to paint them. I think I may have to replace the passenger one soon, but it still works fine, if not just a little slower.

I replaced my driver's side last fall. It was pretty simple. I got the complete assembly with tracks and followed the directions in my Helm manual. Had to block the window all the way up, remove the assemply via 4 bolts I believe. Kind of tricky to work the old one out and get the new one in. It just took a little time. Not all that hard IMO and everything works much better now.

I've just happened to find myself in this situation. . .and this thread was very helpful! THANKS GUYS! I found a pretty good deal for pwr. window regulators w/motors on eBay. About $60.00 each, appear to be pretty good quality - we'll see, have on on order.
