dome light, door ajar problem in 2006

Cool site. :chevy:

Ok, the dash computer thingy says the passender side door is ajar when it's not and the dome light comes on whenever it feels like it with either door open or shut. It's a new problem, and it only has 3000 miles on it but the dealer is 45 miles from here, should I try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes?

Any help is appreciated,

I would say your going to have to take it to the dealer. Could be a problem with the passenger side door ajar switch or driver or passenger door modules. The BCM should time out and cut the lights out.

I was afraid of that. Thanks. I also had a problem with the gas gauge. It stuck on 1/4 tank and I drove it for a week not really paying attention to it. I parked it on a boat ramp for a few minutes on an incline and when I drove off it I had no gas left. Almost ran out on the way to the station because of this.
