Need some help from you gm guys

Hey guys been a while since ive posted on here but ran accross something that i thought was pretty cool. And this might be something i should ask the s10 dudes, but ill try here first.....

i was behind a 93 or 92 gmc typhoon that i noticed on the back gate had the emblem "gmc truck and just below that it said motorsports with the checkered flag" i know i thought about maybe thats the ford motorsport sticker attached underneath, but it was all the same gold pinstriping that the word gmc and truck was as well.

Ok so i work at a gm dealer in the parts dept. and pulled up the logo on the back of a 92,93 (t) truck w/Z79 option(typhoon) and it says 92-93 gold or grey. so i ordered it wich was discontinued from gm but availlble at vintage parts but it dosent have the motor sports word below...

little late now but long story short did they make this like this or no.
