Ok, so my dealer told me that I could have either the 16" rim or the 17" rim on my tahoe, that they were interchangable. However, both sizes came with the same size tire. So the 17" is actually bigger circumference wise than the 16". How do I know if this messes with my speedometer? My truck came stock with the 17's, would it have been factory adjusted or not?

Yea...if your truck came with factory 17s then it'll be programmed for it. I would emagine that the differences in total circumference woudln't be all tha tmuch. The 17 profile is likely shorter than the 16, making them fairly close. Look that the tire size. Mine is 245-75-15...15 being the wheel size.

If it came with 16's, the tires were either a 245-75-R16 or a 265-75-R16. With the 17's they use a 245-70-r17 or a 265-70-R17. The larger rims have lower profile tires which keeps the overall height and circumference pretty close. If you want to interchange, just make sure your tire profile changes as well to keep the overall diameter the same.
