Hello everyone first time poster.

Heres the problem I have a 2006 GMC Sierra CC and would like to switch out my headlights for the Denali ones. I was told the 2006's were different than the 2005 models. Ive seen it done but the information is hard to come by. Oh and dealer says no it cant be done. Just today I saw a 06 CC with them on the CarDomain site, Ive messaged him to.

Thanks for Reading and help one might be able to recieve

Welcome

I don't know if this helps you out or not but the part numbers are the same from '01-'06 for the Denali headlamps (15218077 & 15218078)

So they are not different from '05 to '06.

Well the gentlemen from the CarDomain site replied and said his headlights were just switched from his older truck which was a 2004 model

I am just adding this new info for future readers to try and get all the info on one thread so as to answer all questions

would this be a plug in and go conversion or what else would be involved in this switch. i currently have a 2003 gmc sierra and have been looking in to switching to the denali headlights

I just put a set of 2004 Denali lights in my 2003 Sierra last week. As long as the Denali headlights you use have the factory wiring adapter on them, they are a direct fit. It will take a little bit of careful manipulation when installing them to clear the long headlght adjuster on the Denali housing, but it is an easy swap. I also did a Quad-Headlight modification on my mine to make all four bulbs turn on when using the high beams.

Hey Guys,

I'm a first time poster here as well. I have an 05 Sierra and I was looking at changing out my stock headlight housings for the Denali projector housings and putting a HID kit on it from xenondepot. I just want to make sure I'm reading all this correctly before I drop the money on it. All I need to buy is the housings (15218077 & 15218078) and the HID kit and everything will fit in nicely? Thanks alot.

I would like to add my experience to this thread :) I have a 2003 GMC Yukon. I was getting tired of the old style headlights and they didn't provide any beneficial light output. I say beneficial because they were both pointing off to the right.

I just installed a set of Denali projector headlights with halo's. They are amazing. They are factory headlight housings with halo's added inside. I got them from ebay and can provide the seller's store if anyone wants it. Also, I just purchased a 12000K HID Kit for the housings. I again got this on ebay from a seller who was having an X-Mas sale I believe.

All in all, I spent less than $350.00 on the entire setup. I will post a picture later tonight when I get home to show everyone they will fit with no modifications, just a little maneuvering as stated above.

Here are some pics of my housings and HID's. These pics are at night, I'll take some of the denali housing during the day tomorrow.

Anyone tried the Denali headlights with a 2002 Sierra or earlier?

From what I've heard and looked for and seen, all the kits/conversions I've seen is for 2003-2006. Obviously they changed the style in 2007, but I'm not sure if 2002 is any different than 2003-06.

Are you referring to the HID conversion kits? If just the actual headlights fit that would be awesome. I already got a denali grill and trimmed the light sides off to fit my truck, just want to get the headlights to complete the visual look. Imitation is the best flattery I guess :)
