just wanted to say hi. Im new to this forum so i thought id introduce myself. i just bought my first truck, a 2000 Silverado 1500 ext. cab 4x4. I live in central IL, by peoria and have 3 classes left in an automotive technology degree. I have never had a truck before so hopefully this site will be helpful if i need anything. So far, this truck is my 13th vehicle to date, all of which have been japanese sports cars. not wannabe sporty cars, sports cars. ive had a few RX7 turbos, a twin turbo supra, a single turbo supra, and 6 Nissan 300zx's. I currently am looking to sell my 1994 300zx twin turbo for a '95 ZR-1 Vette. but the Z is not driven in the winter, or bad weather so i bought a truck. and its awesome. its a 2000 Silverado, champagne in color, w/ the 5.3. it came w/ a Rhino liner, a Glasstite bed cover, as well as new tires. so far ive put an intake system on as well as a "custom" exhaust. im still getting used to driving a truck, its pretty different compared to a 2 seater sports car. so there it is, a little bit about me, sorry its so long.

Hey! Welcome to the board! I saw your screen name so I beame interested. I spent about 3 years on the ZR1.net online forum before I came this way, so I'm pretty familiar with the ZR-1.

If your looking for a 95' the net is pretty much the best place to look. On the website there is a for sale section that currently has about half a dozen 95's. Look to spend about $50,000 for a clean one, and be warned that they are very high maintences cars. Replacing parts and working on these is very difficult. The trans in the ZR-1 is not the same trans that is in the LT-1 Vette, and LT-5 techs are hard to find these days. There isn't much I don't know about them, so if you have any questions feel free to PM me.

Good luck!
