Honda Accord brakes

I know this isn't a gm, but I'm working on the pass. side rear drum brake of a '94 honda accord. I put new shoes on, along w/ new adjuster kit. Everything is good, but when I tighten the lug nuts down, the tire won't move. What gives? Brakes are loosened as much as possible and have been bled. Any ideas? Thanks!

Sounds like you got the wrong shoes.

I contact a honda dealer and discuss the problem with a service tech....

I'd verify you have the right shoes for your model....

I'd verify you reassembled everything correctly.....

I'd consider asking others on a honda automotive forum if they've run into the same thing after they have run into the same thing

We all assume you machined the drums to true them concentric to the hub. We also assume that the hub/drum assembly spins freely without the tire installed. We further assume you correctly torqued the wheel to the hub. If you've over-torqued at first and are having continued problems without machining the drum again, you may have a runout problem causing the drag. Does the drum seat squarely on the hub or is there an unusually tight fit at the hub center? Is the drum new? If so, was it for the proper application? Coupe vs. Sedan vs. Stn Wagon, and for Akebono hydraulics, or other? Is your E-brake adjustment backed off?
