Okay I have a problem. My wifes 02 yukon slt makes a clicking noise between 15-25 mph under acceleration only. This seems like a transmission issue to me. Anyone had a similar situation before? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

In another GM car I had, I had the exact same problem... turns out it was a small crack in the exhaust manifold gasket.

You can find it if there's a dark spot along the gasket (the soot from the exhaust will discolor the location of the crack)... additionally, you can use a portion of garden hose or something and put it up to your ear, and wear you think the crack my be to verify it by hearing the clicking thru' it.

Of course, this is done easiest while the vehicle is on a lift. :)

Deadringer is right, I had the same problem. Mine was interesting because it was worse immediately after going through a small puddle of water, it caused a bit of warpage the increased the noise. You betcha, check the manifolds for cracks and/or gasket leaks.
