Transmission cooler lines at radiator?...

Recommended Posts

Posted

Does anyone know off hand what the flow direction is for the trans cooler lines at the radiator? GM manual doesn't seem to be too helpful with this info.

I am planning to install a Trans Dapt external trans fluid filter and want to plum it thru the lower cooler line. What I want to confirm is the direction of flow at the lower line. Is it the INLET or OUTLET for the radiator cooler?

I need to know so I can connect it to the filter lines correctly.

Thanks!

Transmission fluid ENTERS the radiator at the lower connection and EXITS the radiator (either to an external cooler, if equipped, or back to the transmission) through the top connection.
