I had that come on in my Yukon XL. I had a air pressure monitor system in the tires. I'd check your tire pressure. It was my problem. Other than that the sensor(s) strapped to the wheel(s)/rims may be bad.

"Service tire monitor" means there's a problem, not just tire pressure. If tire pressure is just low in one or more tires, you'd get a "check tire pressure" message or variation of that.

 

The sensors are part of the valve stem, not strapped to the wheels like they used to do in the older Corvettes.
