warm tranny

I have a 2002 chevy 2500Hd i satrted to notice that the trans temp has be getting a little high.I was wondering what coould cause this.I had the fluid change about 50000 miles ago.

WHATS LITTLE HIGH AND ARE YOU TOWING ANY THING, THE TRANS TEMP CAN BE FROM 160-240 AND BE NORMAL IT DEPENDS ON WHAT YOUR DOING WITH THE TRUCK AT THE TIME, AND HOW HOT IT IS.

 

MY 2500HD WILL RUN 215 WITH OUT PULLING ANY THING AT ABOUT 100 DEG OUT SITE WHILE ON THE HIGHWAY

It is at about 240 not towing anything.when i start to go form a stop i feel i little skip i dont know if it fells like the tranas or rear end

IF YOUR TRANS IS SLIPING THEN 240 IS BELIEVEABLE, WHO FLUSHED THE TRANS AND HOW LONG AGO

it was changed about 5000 miles ago. I had it change at a trans shop.i dont think they used synthic oil. the truck has 70000 miles on it

CHECK THE FLUID SEE IF IT LOOKS DARK AND/OR SMELLS BURNT ALSO CHECK THE LEVEL

Most run around 150-170. Did yours run around 240 even before you had it serviced 5000 miles ago?
