AC only on low

Well heres the story. I was muddin one day and after i got out of the hole a girl hopped in my truck and tried to turn on the heat and i heard a pop and it went dead. now the heat only works on low and the ac also works on low. 1994 gmc sierra.

where is this thing located and is there a way that i can test it or will it be obvious that it is broken?

For a 1995 Suburban(pretty much the same thing, but you may want to double check. "On the passenger side. Right on top of the black plastic housing. You have to take the glove box, dash, etc. to get it out."

 

It should have a "cap" which you can pry off. You will be able to tell if one of the wires is broken.

The blower resistor gives the opposite symptoms, blower on high only. If it runs on low only, I would look more at the switch or connectors.
