I have a 1996 S-10 with the 2.2 4 cylinder.

 

I have recently completed a valve job, replaced the spark pluges, wires, fuel filter and regulater. The regulater was changed after the problem brgan.

About 2 or 3 weeks after the work the engine started to studer under load, mostly when the engine is hot but also slightly when cold.

I am not getting an engine light.

Any help would be appriciated.

I used to own the exact same truck here in Buffalo NY

 

96 Chevy S10 2.2L-Fire Engine Red. Traded it in at 96,000 because of the SAME problem.

 

For me, it was the torque converter. Take it to a tranny guy and see what he says.

 

For a second there, i thought maybe you bought my old truck! lol

Sorry I forgot to mention that my truck has the manual trans.
