EXHAUST SYSTEM INPUT

I plan to purchase a new 2007 Tahoe, 5.3L. My 4 question's are:

 

1) Leave the Stock exhaust on?

 

2) Gibson Side Swept - Single outlet ?

 

3) GM Accesories - Single outlet ?

 

4) Find a dual outlet ?

 

Any help or comments are appreciated.

I have a Gibson cat-back single side and I think it sounds great. Some hear think gibson will make your truck sound like a ricer, but mine has a nice deep sound. One of those days, I'll have to record it and post.

Having previously had a Flowmaster, I second the Magnaflow

One word - CORSA!

Stock one sounds fine to me. From under the truck, it looks well designed with smooth flowing bends. The sound leaves me to believe that the muffler is designed for high flow. I welded a SS tip on mine, and I'm done.

I have Gibson side exit on my 5.3 and it sounds awesome....I am not sure who said they sound like ricers.....BUT mine sounds awesome, and I have had drag cars, all V8's and it sounds good to me.

you could keep your stock piping and have a muffler swap with whatever muffler you want, that be the cheapest route.

I just had my Flowmaster ripped out and installed a Magnaflow muffler with custom piping out the back behind the rear tire.

 

WOW! What a difference. I should have done this since the beginning.

I third the Corsa... don't have it for my truck yet, but the system on my vette is SIGNIFICANTLY louder than the Corsas on my truck (not to mention, a bigger motor with more cam) and the cruise on the vette is soooo much nicer than the cruise on the truck with Magnaflows. The Corsas are the only system I know that really bark and have NO drone. Magnaflows are very very good, EXCELLENT for the price, but Corsas are better.
