Vapor lock?

I know I've asked the oil question before.

Ok, 33,000 and change on the truck. Just drove to Ny from Ohio (1200 miles round trip). Truck seems like it burns some oil at first then levels off. I checked the oil when we got home and it didn't seem to burn a drop. Tonight I checked it and it is about 1/4 to 1/2 quart lower than 4 days ago. What gives? There is no way it burned this much oil in this time (we're talking 25 miles max), can these get vapor locked effecting the oil level? I'e also noticed wetness on the bottom of the pan and up on the vortec engine cover.

better start looking for a oil leak in the frount seal area. if your pvc is clogged or not working properly then you can get excess preasure in the crank.

did you over fill with oil? that can cause excess preasure also...

good luck
