How wide are your OEM splash guards/mud flaps?

I'm back to deciding on splash guards again (started researching air intakes and forgot about the mud flaps). I know this is a stupid question, especially since it's only a 1.4" difference, but I can't seem to decide what size will look best on a Silverado 1500. Will the 9.7" width be wide enough or will the 11.1" be too wide and stick out?

They are the flat with contours and I'm ordering them off the internet, so I want to be sure to get the right size so I don't have to send them back.

Anyone have any opinions/recommendations? Anyone with the 9.7" wish they had gotten wider flaps and vice versa for those with the 11.1"?

If you order the wider ones you can always cut them down

I got the 11" wide ones from the dealer( about 14 bucks a pair...great directions and mounting hardware). You mount them with the outer edge parallel to the tire sidewall and the extra width would extend toward the center of the truck...no protrusion past the fender. My truck is an 06 2500HD. I think the narrow ones would be OK on a Colorado. Go with the wide ones on a full size truck..Just my opinion..... :banghead:

I measured the ones on my truck and their 11" wide.

They are the GM ones.

Here is a picture...it's a little dark sorry.
