fuel pump

I was driving on the freeway and the truck stopped and would not start up.

I had it towed home to find the fuel pump fuse (20 amp) was burnt.

I replaced the fuse and the truck ran for a few seconds and the fuse failed again.

This occurred several times so I inspected all the wire connections and they seem good.

I reinstalled a30 amp fuse and tested to see if it wpould run without failing and sure enough it will run continuosly could someone suggest the culprit!
